Winter sports

The snowshoe tours are the latest fashion in winter sports; it´s also possible that thanks to them middle-aged men remember their military service! Instead, the youngest guests will associate snowshoes with Western cartoons and movies. You can find snowshoe tours in every valley of South Tyrol, grouped according to the level of difficulty. It´s one of the winter sports which is suitable for the whole family.

There´s also an equipment for snowshoe tours, exactly like the other winter sports; the equipment can be bought or hired. The clothing is very similar to the one for skiing; ski sticks are used also in this sport. The guest wishing to experiment simple snowshoe tours, the snowshoe must be large and they have to be equipped with crampons. The guests experimenting more difficult snowshoe tours need smaller snowshoes, without crampons.
